Terms of service

1. Who we are
Snapline Appraisal is a trade name of Farrow LLC, Durham, North Carolina. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Farrow LLC, doing business as Snapline Appraisal, and "you" means the person or firm ordering a report.
Reports are prepared and signed by William F. Lucas, North Carolina licensed motor vehicle damage appraiser, License No. 22347937.
2. What we provide
We prepare an appraisal report stating a licensed appraiser's opinion of a vehicle's diminished value, for vehicles in North Carolina. The report is an opinion of value, not legal advice.
We're an appraisal company, not a law firm, so we don't give legal advice or negotiate with the insurer. We don't act as your lawyer or your adjuster. We can't promise what any insurer will pay.
3. Your documents
The report relies on the documents and facts you give us. Please tell us if anything changes.
4. Fees
The fee is $500 USD, flat, charged when you order. The fee is the same whatever the report finds, so nothing about it depends on the number.
Full refund if your documents can't support a valuation.
You can cancel for a full refund until we start your report. Our Refunds, Delivery and Cancellation page is part of these terms.
Orders from law firms follow the terms for firms.
5. Delivery
We deliver the report as a signed PDF by email within one business day of payment.
Law firms: payment and delivery follow the terms for firms.
6. If the claim goes to appraisal
If the claim goes to North Carolina's appraisal process, we serve as your appraiser at no added fee. You pay half the shared costs of the process, including the umpire's fee, as the law provides. The process is open only when fault isn't disputed and the two figures differ by more than the amount the law sets (G.S. 20-279.21(d1)).
If testimony or a deposition is ever needed, we'll quote the price and agree it with you in advance.
7. Using the report
The report is yours to send to the insurer, a lawyer, or a court.
8. Liability and governing law
Our total liability to you for a report, including for breach of contract or ordinary negligence, is limited to the fee you paid for that report. This limit does not apply to fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit. North Carolina law governs these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the version on this page when you ordered applies to your order.
